FAQ
FAQ
What is the minimum storage period?
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Why do I need to sign a storage agreement?
The storage agreement sets out the terms and conditions for the use of the storage unit and facilities. It will clearly set out the rights and obligations of each party and by signing it you will have a written set of rules for the facility.
Do I need to come in to do all the paperwork, or can you just email it to me?
You will need to come into the storage centre to complete your paperwork as we will need to take copies of your ID and have you sign the storage agreement.
How can I get my stuff to the storage centre?
You can use your car, van, trailer or truck to move your belongings into your storage unit. Our aim of keeping your storage costs to a minimum means we have decided not to have a trailer or van on the site. However we can recommend hire centres and moving companies if needed.
What size units do you have?
We have a wide range of unit sizes to fit your requirements. Please check our Storage Guide page for the various sizes or you can call us to discuss your requirements.
What happens if my goods won’t fit?
No problem as we have a number of different sized units and we can usually move you into a larger unit.
If I run out of space, what are my options?
If you run out of space, you can either transfer your goods into a larger unit, or you can take a second storage unit out under your name. You will need to complete a new storage agreement for the new unit.
Am I automatically insured?
No, you are not automatically insured, so we strongly recommend that you organise insurance when you are ready to move in.
How much time do I need to give when moving out?
In the terms and conditions of your storage agreement it states that you must give at least seven (7) days’ notice of your intention to move out.
Will I get a refund if I move out earlier than expected?
Getting Started
Can I pay per week?
What are the prices?
Do you offer any specials?
Yes, we have specials, but they will vary from time to time. To get the best deal, talk to our staff.
How does billing work?
We work from a monthly renewable contract, so this means you will automatically be billed for the next month when your rent expires. We send your invoice to you two weeks in advance, so if you know you will be moving out, you can give us notice to move out. If you would like to prepay for six months or 12 months at a time to receive a discount, you need to contact our office to apply the discount before the due date and we will arrange for a new invoice to be sent to you and we can take payment.
Prices and Payments
Is the site secure?
What security is there at each storage centre?
Do you have a key for this unit?
No. Self-storage means you pack your unit with your goods, you lock the unit with your own padlock and only you will have the keys. The facility's staff do not hold a key to your storage unit – only you can access your goods.
Can I give my code to others (e.g. removal firm or relatives)?
We advise that you do not give your code out to anyone other than the person you have nominated to have access on your contract. This protects both you and other unit holders.
How many attempts do you get if you forget your code?
If you enter an incorrect code, the system will not recognise you and you will not be given access. You can try as many times as you like. If this happens and it is an emergency, you can refer to your storage agreement, or call the emergency contact number posted near the entrance of the facility.
What access to my unit do I have?
Access to the facility is 24/7 so you can access your unit any time of the day on any day of the year.
How often can I access my goods?
If your account is paid up to date, you can access your storage unit as often as you wish.
